- Expected
- Every img has an alt attribute (empty for decorative images).
- Applies to

- What this checks
- Whether each retrieved sitemap is well-formed XML with a urlset or sitemapindex root.

INDEX-SITEMAP-005Sitemap URLs belong to the sitemap's host and scopeIndexingWarning when failedWeight 1Technical Search
- What this checks
- Sitemap loc entries on another origin, and whether that origin's robots.txt references the sitemap.
- Why it matters
- The sitemap protocol only accepts URLs of the sitemap's own host and protocol unless the other host proves ownership by referencing the sitemap in its robots.txt; other URLs are dropped.
- How to fix
- List only URLs of the sitemap's own origin, or reference the sitemap from the other origin's robots.txt.
- Expected
- Every entry is on the sitemap's origin, or its origin's robots.txt references the sitemap (cross-submission).
- Applies to
- Origins with a retrieved urlset sitemap that lists URLs on another origin. Same-origin entries are always in scope, because MaxiMarket only reads the root /sitemap.xml or sitemaps its own robots.txt references.
- Authority
- Open standard / Schema.org · RequiredSitemaps XML protocol.
- Technical Score
- Weight 1 of 3Out-of-scope entries are dropped; the rest of the sitemap still works.
- How MaxiMarket detects it
- For up to 3 other origins listed in the inspected urlset sitemaps, fetches their robots.txt (same limits as the audit's robots.txt request) and reports when one is retrieved (or answers 404/410) without a Sitemap line naming the sitemap. Same-origin entries are always in scope: MaxiMarket reads only the root /sitemap.xml or sitemaps referenced by the origin's own robots.txt. Unavailable robots.txt files and uninspected origins are not evaluated.
